SEPA payments and instant payments unlimited number of times for free. For those aged under 18 transfers up to 500 EUR per month are available with parental permission. Instant payments are available to/from banks that have joined the instant payments system.
Push notifications on your phone for each purchase and incoming payment.
By opening Piggybank and by activating the payment rounding feature, you can earn 3% annual interest on the accumulated amount.*

Useful information for children and parents

Special security limits for minors:
— daily limit for cash withdrawal 200 EUR and up to 500 EUR per month
— transfers up to 500 EUR, if the child is under 18. In this case child will be granted certain rights in the online bank with the permission of the parents.
For the parents of younger children: you can monitor your child’s spending in the mobile app and online bank and be by their side as they learn to manage their money.
Quickly and conveniently transfer money to your child’s account within seconds, even if your account is with another bank.
Both the young person and parent can block a lost or stolen card by calling +370 5 221 9091.
Change the PIN code even if you don’t remember the old one in the app, if your settings allow.

For younger than 18

A bank account for a child aged 7 to 13 can be opened via the Citadele mobile app. Citadele bank clients can open an account for their child through the mobile app or internet bank. If the child is 14 years old or older, the account can be opened at any Citadele bank branch. Find out what documents are required for account opening.

Task tool

Task Tool is an addition to Citadele app that allows you to create and send tasks to your friends or family members. It’s especially useful for parents who want to teach their children responsibility and basic financial literacy in a fun way – children earn money for completing a task.

To use Task Tool, both the task sender and task recipient must be Citadele clients, have Citadele app installed, and have activated an option to pay to the mobile phone number. The sender must be at least 18 years old.
How does it work? On the main screen of the mobile app, go to the "Tasks" section and tap "More." Then select "New Task" – you can choose a recipient from your phone’s address book or enter their number manually. Next, pick a task from the available categories or create your own. For each task, you can add a description, set a deadline, and specify the reward amount. Once everything is ready, tap "Send" – the task is on its way to the recipient!
Once the task is completed, the recipient marks it as done and the sender can approve it and pay the reward. If the recipient chooses not to complete the task, they can simply decline it.

Modern contactless payments

Payment bracelet if you don’t want to take your card or wallet with you. It is waterproof and available in four colours: red, white, purple and black.
Apple Pay, if you are aged 14 or over. Pay with Apple Pay in stores and online without filling in registration forms or creating new accounts.
No need to enter a PIN code for payments up to 50 EUR.
The payment sticker for children and youth under 16 (including) is free of charge.
