If you take out a 100 000 EUR flexible loan for a period of 30 years with an applicable variable annual interest rate of 4.016%, and pay 1 000 EURcontract fee, 8.60 EUR mortgage registration fee, 2.49 EUR card plan fee, and repay the loan using the annuity method, then the total annual percentage rate (APR) would be 4.24%, and the total amount payable by the borrower would be 181,806.33 EUR. The total number of interest payments would be 360 and credit instalment payments would be 300. Thus, the monthly interest payment during grace period of maximum 5 years would be 339.31 EUR. Monthly credit instalment and interest payment after grace period would be 531.81 EUR. The total notary fees, property valuations and insurance costs are not known to the bank and are therefore not included in the calculations.
A flexible loan could be issued only if you pledge a living premises as a collateral. In most cases, a long-term financial commitment of up to 30 years is required, and failure to comply with the credit agreement terms during this period may have negative consequences – such as reducing or limiting your future borrowing capacity. Failure to comply with or improper fulfilment of the agreement terms may result in the loss of ownership of the pledged (purchased) real estate.

How flexible mortgage loan works?

Flexible mortgage loan allows you to borrow as much or as little as you need against the value of your property.

  • Use real estate as collateral and receive a credit line of up to 75% of the property's value for the draw period.
  • Use the funds whenever you need during the draw period, which can last up to 5 years.
  • Pay only the interest in the draw period.
  • Once the draw period ends, the agreed loan repayment term will begin immediately and may last up to 25 years. During this period, the borrowed funds will be repaid through monthly payments, along with interest charged on the outstanding loan balance.

If you want to fill out a home loan application, click Fill out an application and log in using the available authentication tool (you can connect through Citadele Internet Bank, use Smart-ID or M. signature).

Fill in the mandatory fields of the application, provide information about yourself, indicate your other financial obligations.

After submitting the application, you will see on the screen that the application has been created, and you will also be notified by email. by letter

If you do not have any of the specified means of authentication and cannot fill out the application online, register for a visit at any Citadele bank branch , during which a bank employee will provide all the necessary information and fill out the application. Please note that you will need to provide a bank statement for the last six months showing your regular income at the time of your visit. We recommend a personal e-mail before your arrival. save the said extract in the mail so that you can send it to the "Citadele" bank employee during the meeting.

Please provide the following documents:

  1. Passport or personal identity card, third-country citizen's permit for permanent residence in the Republic of Lithuania.
  2. Application. Apply online.
  3. The consent of the credit recipient (co-borrower) so that we can assess the solvency of the credit recipient (co-borrower) by checking the data in the registers.
  4. If you are self-employed or under a business license, copyright or work order agreement, please provide all supporting documentation of your income. We also ask you to submit a business certificate, declarations for the past 2 years, declaration for the current year. Expenditure warrants, copyright contracts, bank statements for the last 12-24 months.
  5. Property valuation.

We may also ask for other additional income supporting documents.

Smart-ID is a personal identification solution that can be used to sign loan applications.

In order to sign a completed loan application, you must have the Advanced (qualified) version of Smart-ID. You will not be able to sign an application for a loan with the Basic version of Smart-ID. To change your existing Basic version to Advanced, you can do it with a mobile signature by downloading a new Smart-ID.

If you do not have a mobile signature, but you already have the Basic version of the Smart-ID mobile application, you can change it to Advanced (qualified) by changing the biometric data (by taking a photo of your personal document and entering additional required data).

If you don't have a mobile signature and you don't have the opportunity to take a picture of your personal document, then you can change the "Smart-ID" version at one of the banks: "Swedbank", "SEB" or "Luminor".

  1. Fill out an application for a home loan.
  2. A bank employee will contact you and discuss the need and possibilities in detail.
  3. You will provide additional documents requested by the Citadele employee who is serving you (e.g. real estate valuation report)
  4. A decision on granting credit is made.
  5. You become a bank customer, open a credit service account. If you wish, you can purchase additional products/services offered by the bank at the same time (eg: payment card, mortgage insurance).
  6. A credit agreement and other documents are signed at the bank.
  7. A mortgage (property pledge) agreement is signed and confirmed at a notary. It is transferred to the Registru Centras for registration.
  8. After registering the mortgage agreement in the Registru Centras and submitting all the necessary documents to the bank, the credit amount is disbursed.

Applications for consumer and housing loans can be submitted online, and this can be done both by customers of Citadele Bank and other banks.
