Temporary account

Taken the first steps in launching a business and now need a business account? We have worked to ensure that opening one is as simple as possible. Open a temporary account remotely***:

  • Fill in an application to open a temporary account.****
  • Once your temporary account is open, you will receive an electronically-signed letter from the bank by email, in which we will give you your temporary account number.
  • Pay in your base capital.
  • Once you have founded your business, transfer your temporary account into a permanent account remotely.

*** Only newly-founded businesses in the Republic of Lithuania with a single founder can open a temporary account remotely.

Business current account

Once a business has been founded, it’s time for a current account. A Citadele current account gives you more opportunities to run your day-to-day business conveniently and successfully.

Why can’t I use my Online Banking to fill in and sign an application?

A qualified electronic signature, which is legally equivalent to a handwritten signature, must be used to complete the application. Qualified electronic signatures in Lithuania are:

  • SmartID QES;
  • Mobile-ID.

What you need to know before applying?

If you are not yet our business customer, you can join us without coming to the bank! Now you just have to complete an application on the Citadele’s website. Fill it in and we will deliver the card to you free of charge within Latvia.

To become a customer using an application on the Citadele website, the following criteria must be met:

  • the legal form of the company is UAB (Ltd.), individual merchant (ĮI), farm undertaking or fishery undertaking (ŽŪB);
  • your company is registered in the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Lithuania with a turnover of up to 30,000 EUR;
  • your company is solvent;
  • the company carries out economic activity in Lithuania;
  • you have been issued a passport or identity card of citizen or non-citizen of the Republic of Lithuania;
  • you have the right to represent the company individually;
  • you have a qualified electronic signature - eSignature maintained by SmartID QES or Mobile-ID.

If any of the above criteria is not met, please visit any of our branches, bringing an identity document.

Please note that when you become a customer of Citadele banka remotely, initially your company account will be limited. The maximum total amount of incoming transactions per month can be up to 30,000 EUR. This condition can be changed upon visiting a branch of the bank.
 

How soon will I be able to start using banking services?

The account and Citadele Online bank are available immediately after you have received an e-mail about successful submission of the application, you will receive an X Business Card by post within a week. Activate the card in the mobile app or Online bank and use it for making payments.

What will happen to banking services if I exceed the limits?

  • If you receive more than 30,000 EUR in your account in the current month, banking services will be limited. In this case, a bank representative will contact you and advise you on further actions.
  • If you already know that you will receive more than 30,000 EUR per month in the company’s account, apply for a face-to-face visit to the bank’s branch in time.

Can I fill in the application and apply for corporate banking services remotely, if the planned turnover exceeds 30,000 EUR?

If the monthly turnover of your company exceeds 30,000 EUR, you will be able to apply for banking services only in person.

I already have the Online Banking of the bank, will I be able to use the existing connection if I apply for corporate services remotely?

  • If the authorization device for the existing Online Banking is MobileSCAN, you will be able to use the existing connection. A bank specialist will contact you to clarify whether you want to draw up a new Online Banking Agreement or use the current one.
  • If you do not have MobileSCAN yet, log in to your Online Banking and connect it.

What are the costs of the service?
