How does purchase rounding work?

Purchase rounding is an automatic savings feature that helps you save money effortlessly. Every time you pay with a card linked to your Piggybank, the purchase amount is rounded up to the nearest EUR 0.10 or EUR 1.00 (depending on your chosen setting), and the difference is credited to your Piggybank.

The rounded amount is taken from your account at the moment when funds are reserved for the purchase and immediately transferred to your Piggybank. If the purchase amount is already a round number, nothing is transferred to your Piggybank.

Examples of rounding to the nearest 1 EUR:

  • You buy a chocolate for 2.40 EUR → rounded up to 3.00 EUR → 0.60 EUR goes to your Piggybank.
  • You buy a train ticket for 3.80 EUR → rounded up to 4.00 EUR → 0.20 EUR goes to your Piggybank.
  • You buy a book for 10.63 EUR → rounded up to 11.00 EUR → 0.37 EUR goes to your Piggybank.

Total savings: 0.60 + 0.20 + 0.37 = 1.17 EUR.

If you choose to round up to the nearest 0.10 EUR, the savings will be smaller, but they will still gradually accumulate, helping you reach your goal effortlessly.
