Citadele bank triumphs at Best Company 2016 Awards

Citadele bank has received a “Best Company 2016” award from Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (Vilnius CCIC). The Bank has claimed the Best Company of 2016 title at the annual “Best Company” competition held by Vilnius CCIC having won the first place in the category of non-exporting medium and large companies.

“Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts together with its Alytus and Ukmergė branches have a total membership of over 450 including a variety of businesses, institutions and organizations from different sectors. Business and business growth as well as prosperity are among the key priorities of Citadele bank. It is our goal to become the main finance partner for businesses across Lithuania and we strive to develop and provide banking services that meet business needs to the greatest extent possible so we are very happy to have won this award and we see this award as a testimony to our hard work and efforts,” says Dace Priede, the member of the Board and the Head of Administration of Citadele bank.

This year, Citadele bank has launched new offerings with benefits for businesses and private customers. The start of the year saw the bank launch micro loans of up to EUR 20,000 for small-business owners who can receive funds just within a day after they have applied, whereas farmers and agricultural companies are now offered short-term loans unsecured by fixed assets. This fall, Citadele bank was the first one in the Lithuanian market to offer to new business customers the option of opening settlement accounts and ordering other banking services online without visiting the bank.

This year, Citadele bank became the first commercial bank in Lithuania to offer consumer credits through a financial services network PayPost owned by the Lietuvos paštas (Lithuania Post) and launched a live chat feature available on the bank’s website. It is the first time such technology is introduced in the banking sector in the Baltics. Citadele bank has also opened a unique bank branch at the Vilnius centre which shares its office space with Coffee Inn coffee shop.

Citadele bank is the first commercial bank in Lithuania to offer daily banking package for EUR 1/month, i.e., at a significantly lower price than that prescribed by the Bank of Lithuania. This year the bank has also achieved major progress in raising awareness of disability sports. Being one of the largest sponsors of disability sports, Citadele bank has made a significant contribution in raising media and public awareness of issues relating to disabled people participating in sports.

At the start of 2016, Citadele bank was recognised as the most customer-oriented bank in Lithuania. This was revealed in a survey on the quality of customer service in the banking sector conducted by research company Dive Lietuva (Slapto Pirkėjo Tyrimai, UAB) for the seventh consecutive year.

“The key performance indicators, achievements, investments in service development and social role of Citadele bank have been found to meet the competition’s criteria best in the category of non-exporting medium and large companies. We are also happy to announce that it is not the first time we have given “Best Company” award to Citadele bank. This shows that this organization consistently maintains high performance standards and is successful in pursuing further growth,” says Dr. Almantas Danilevičius, General Manager of Vilnius CCIC.

Three years ago Citadele bank was awarded Vilnius CCIC diploma for winning 2nd place at “The Best Company 2013” competition. The “Best Company” competition regulations provide that those companies who have once been awarded with the title (1st place winners), may participate in the competition only after four years have elapsed from the date of the award.
